Linda, Kate & Shirlee have been talking about doing the City to Bay Fun Run for years, and it has finally eventuated. We were fortunate in having a very pleasant day for our inaugural event.
I found it disappointing that this year, for the first time a percentage of the entry fee did not go to our nominated charity. But for all that, with the Everyday Hero website, and various members gaining sponsorship we have raised over $1,000, with money still coming in, so was a worthwhile effort, thanks so much to all who participated … especially those who travelled from Mt Gambier and Kingston SE to support DebRA (SA).
We hope to see you all again next year, with more supporters. The polo shirts did look impressive! Thanks to Shirlee, who had made up an information card, we were able to give these to people when they asked what the EB stood for.
